US-based Maxco Packaging has chosen Cenergy Power, a commercial solar developer in the US, which completed a 1.107 megawatt (MW) solar PV system for the company's manufacturing facility in Parlier.

The solar power system, covering over 4 acres at the Parlier complex is in line with Maxco's commitment to sustainable business practices.

Maxco VP Operations and Sales Mark Flaming said that the solar system is expected to reduce carbon footprint, reduce operating costs and protect fixed costs as energy costs increase.

"Sustainable business practices are a central theme here at Maxco and our solar system will help us achieve that goal," Flaming added.

The packaging company said that its containers are 100% recyclable as it uses recycled source material without compromising on product strength and quality.

Cenergy Power will also provide 10 years of scheduled operations and maintenance for the system, including touch-free panel cleanings, preventive maintenance & repair, and overall system warranties.
