A2aMEDIA, a next generation digital media company that designs, installs and operates energy-efficient LED media displays, today announced an agreement to install Philadelphia’s largest digital displays on the Lits Building, located on Market Street East. Through a partnership with affiliates of Brickstone Realty and Madison International Realty, A2aMEDIA will install and operate the GKD Mediamesh display to provide an aesthetic upgrade to the property, along with newly available advertising opportunities for a variety of local, regional and national businesses. This media installation will offer the first Spectacular digital display option to advertisers in Philadelphia. The property owners have also committed $10M in public improvements in and around the building.

GKD ediamesh is significantly more environmentally friendly than traditional LED technologies. The technology was invented, patented and developed by GKD (Duren, Germany).

“The new LED Spectacular is an inventive method to blend the past and future of this historic building in an extraordinary way. Additionally, it will advance the revitalization of Market East,” said Mark Merlini of Brickstone Realty, local owner of the building for the past 30 years.
The 5,000-square-foot dual-display will ornament both the 7th and 8th street corners of the building, located at 701 East Market Street in Philadelphia. The display is expected to go live in January 2015.
